- Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO, is extending his ‘year of efficiency’ indefinitely, with no plans to accelerate hiring.
- Meta’s headcount shrank 22% last year to 67,317, following mass cost cuts, and the company’s stock almost tripled in value.
- Despite cost-cutting, Meta reported a 25% growth in fourth-quarter sales to $40.1 billion, and authorized a $50 billion share buyback and a 50-cent quarterly dividend.
