NASA’s Parker Solar Probe set to make record-breaking approach to the Sun
- NASA’s Parker Solar Probe is set to approach the Sun’s atmosphere at a speed of 435,000 mph, getting within 3.8 million miles of its surface.
- This is the closest any human-made object has ever come to the Sun, with the probe expected to withstand temperatures up to 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit.
