2023年，上证指数全年下跌3.7%，收在3000点下方；创业板指全年下跌19.41%，跌幅居首；上证50指数、沪深300指数年线3连阴；北证50指数四季度大幅走高，全年上涨14.92%。
纵观全年，A股主要股指大多数收跌，其中沪指全年下跌3.7%，收在3000点下方。年内，共打响4次3000点保卫战，不过，大盘最终未能收复3000点，这也是2013年以来上证指数第三度收在3000点以下位置。创业板指全年下跌19.41%，跌幅居首，上证50、沪深300指数年线3连阴。北证50指数四季度大幅走高，全年上涨14.92%。
2023年，香港恒指全年下跌13.82%，恒生指数年线收出四连阴。恒生科技指数全年跌8.83%，国企指数跌13.97%。
2023年，美股标普500指数在2022年重挫19.44%之后，2023年实现了24.23%的涨幅，两年累计上涨0.08%。纳斯达克100指数迈向1999年以来的最佳年度表现，市值年增7万亿美元，纳斯达克全年累涨44.22%。
2023年，离岸人民币汇率从年初的6.92下跌到7.12，下跌了2.9%。
