going for a gameboy experience

Merry Christmas! Today's game is Traumatarium on the Switch.
This is a game that tries to be as much of a Gameboy game as possible. The main menu is even a virtual room in the 90s with a PC on a desk and the game and Gameboy on it and you play it by putting it in the Gameboy.
The game really does look like you're playing on a Gameboy (that's lit up well). You can change the background, and change the screen colors.
The gameplay is you can go into a town to save and buy supplies and gear. You then enter the dungeons. You go room by room and either search or leave, or fight a monster. You can use items like potions or food.
It seems you go as far as you can, leave the dungeon and get more supplies and better gear, to use to go further into the dungeons, etc.
This setup of a virtual room makes me think of the Sega Genesis Classics also on the Switch. It's a virtual 90s bedroom with a CRT TV you play the Sega on, with a shelf of a few dozen Sega cartridge cases to choose from to play. Again, this is just for nostalgia.
