Brighton becoming major player in gaming industry
Brighton has been praised as a "creative hub of awesome" as the city thrives as the "perfect fit" for the gaming industry.
Studio head for Electric Square, Nathan Gouveia, said Brighton's future with the gaming industry is very exciting.
Mr Gouveia added that the local gaming industry contributes in a big way to the community because of its diversity.
He continued: "The investment that is happening is going to be brilliant for the future."
Gaming journalist Will Freeman said: "Games by their very nature are really multidisciplinary.
"They bring together musicians, and even voice actors, even performers, coders, artists, actors, animators [and] illustrators,
"As anyone who has spent probably even a moment in Brighton knows, it is a creatively diverse place. So games and Brighton are kind of a natural fit for each other."
Develop, a gaming conference which is held in Brighton, and the city's universities have also been highlighted as a positive for the industry.
Mr Gouveia said: "In Brighton the best thing about the innovation that is happening is it is the go-to place for people to come and live and work, and work in the games industry specifically, so it is a creative hub of awesome."
