How to leverage a simple, free plugin to get image editing capabilities right in Figma. No gimmicks, no tricks, no clickbait.

Overview

How many times have you found yourself working with photos in Figma, thinking “jeeze, I wish I could just edit this right here, and not have to go into PS or Affinity.

Well, you actually can, and it’s way easier than you’d think.

Today I’m gonna show you how you can leverage a simple, free plugin to get image editing capabilities right in Figma.

The plugin — Photopea

I’m not gonna make you dig for it, the plugin is right here:

Just click on the image you want to edit:

This plugin is a gamechanger

No longer do you need to go outside of Figma to edit your photos, you can do it directly inside Photopea, and get the results immediately in your Figma file.

This streamlines your workflow, makes it way easier to deal with images, and is especially useful if you need to replace titles and text in AI-generated graphics.
