Western Digital 高達 24TB 容量的 CMR 硬碟也準備就緒，WD Gold 24TB 正陸續出貨供應給銷售通路，稍後就能實際購買到。

企業級定位的 WD Gold 系列硬碟，近期架構設計都是源自 Ultrastar DC 系列，維持採用 CMR 磁記錄技術，並且配備 Western Digital 所開發 OptiNAND 技術。OptiNAND 宣稱具有提升容量密度、效能、可靠性等效益，還衍生出 ArmorCache 寫入快取防護機制，實際應用於 22TB 和 24TB 容量版本產品上。

容量達 24TB 的 WD Gold，是以 10 張碟片、20 顆磁頭構成，如同 Seagate 早一步發表的 Exos 24TB，都是得利於氦氣填充封裝技術。在 7,200RPM 主軸馬達、512MB 快取這組合下，資料傳輸速度最高達 298MB/s，其耐用性規格一慣開出 250 萬小時 MTBF、AFR 0.35％、工作負載 500TB / 年、5 年有限保固。
