TDSAT rules OTT platforms are not TV channels in AIDCF vs Star India case
- The Telecom Dispute Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) ruled that an OTT platform is not a TV channel, in response to a petition by the All India Digital Cable Federation (AIDCF) against Star India.
- AIDCF claimed Star India was violating regulations by charging for their channel while offering free access to its OTT application, Star Sports, via Disney+ Hotstar.
