Hello Product Hunt!🚀 We are a small team of web developers with an API we are excited to share. It solves a problem that has been plaguing us all since the beginning of time - contact form spam.

The problem we are solving: If you have a contact form on your website you know what a pain contact form spam is. Recent studies* have shown reCAPCHAs are easily beaten by modern bots. Moreover, challenges can lead to lower conversion rates. While the problem of contact form spam has been a problem for years, until the advent of LLMs, this problem could only be solved through crude keyword black-lists and other hacky solutions.

The solution: Bot Butcher is a REST API that is free to get started with. We use modern AI models to classify each contact form message your websites gets. We get context about what is or is not spam by crawling your site to get additional context.

How to use: Simply send your contact form messages with a GET request along with your API key to Bot Butcher and we will respond with a classification. Then you can decide whether to send the message to its final destination (or not).

This is an awesome product! It's gonna be very helpful to stop spam bot messages from reaching my inbox.
Hello, team! I want to extend my congratulations to all of you and wish you the best of luck with the Product Hunt launch and your startup journey. Your idea is truly brilliant and highly relevant. However I have a few recommendations regarding your video demo. To capture the audience's attention right from the start, I highly suggest showcasing the user story and emphasizing the problems your product aims to solve. Additionally please consider increasing the video's speed to make it more dynamic. Lastly please keep in mind that your target audience might not be very tech-savvy and product owners, decision makers are more concerned with the idea and how it can benefit their business rather than technical details.
Bot Butcher is an intriguing solution to deal with unwanted bots! How effective is it in curbing bot activity? 🤖
