8月23日，据国家金融监督管理总局宜昌监管分局公布的行政处罚信息，因贷款支付管理不到位，导致贷款资金被挪用归还他行贷款；票据业务管理不审慎两项违法违规事实，中信银行股份有限公司宜昌分行（下称中信银行宜昌分行）被罚65万元，相关责任人史彦靖、江晋宇、王峰分别被予以警告。
此次并非中信银行本月首次被罚。8月14日，因未按规定对保险代理机构从业人员进行执业登记，中信银行武汉分行被国家金融监督管理总局湖北监管局罚款1万元，相关责任人周盈南被警告并罚款7千元。
