[ROM][OFFICIAL][enchilada][13] LineageOS 20
Bought mine there too and I actually can leave the house with <50% on a light day and it will take me through just don't forget to calibrate your battery after installing the new one (drain the bat completely so you can't boot the phone anymore and the charge it to 100% + another 2 hours at 100%)
Will do
Already unlocked bootloader, rooted and installed TWRP a couple of years ago.
Looking at "Checking the correct firmware" in the guide.
I assume from this that I need to either:
1. Go sideways from Android 9 / Oxygen 9.0.9 to LineageOS 16 and then update to LineageOS 20.
2. Update my op6 as far as I can through OTA updates, preferably to android 11 and then install Lineage OS 18, and then update to LineageOS 20.
Correct?
And from these, alternative number 2 is better?
I don't know about that update path, but if you want to wipe everything and go to LOS 20, I would MSM to OxygenOS (OOS) 10.3.8, OTA update to 11.1.2.2, unlock the bootloader, and then follow LOS instructions to flash boot.img, copy-partitions, LOS, and any addon packages.Looking to install LineageOS 20.

I heard some places say to OTA update twice on OOS so both slots get the updated firmware, but this might be covered by the LOS copy-partitions script.
Afaik TWRP isn't recommended for reasons involving encrypted data or something like that, and apparently hasn't been updated in a while. Magisk and Gapps seem flashable from LOS recovery so I'd recommend just sticking to LOS recovery.

Thanks for the answer. Edited my original post with another update path at the same time that you wrote.
From what I understand I'll be able to overwrite TWRP with LOS recovery while flashing LineageOS. Correct?
Yep! If TWRP was flashed to the boot partitions (boot_a, boot_b), flashing LOS's boot.img will replace it.From what I understand I'll be able to overwrite TWRP with LOS recovery while flashing LineageOS. Correct?

right, that's what that script is for

My phone wants to OTA update directly to 11.1.2.2 (and notifies me that I'll be un-rooted). Is there any reason I shouldn't do it and go to 10.3.8 first?

I would just OTA to 11.1.2.2 and then start flash process from there. No need to go to OOS 10 first.
MSM is software used to flash OOS and puts you back to locked bootloader. Mainly used when you've had issues flashing and need to start completely fresh or following Qualcomm crash.
Edit: Apparently will be fixed in the next build after 20230815. I'm guessing this is the change: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_hardware_qcom_thermal/+/364486
I saw a severe thermal throttling warning from the default camera app on 20230808. I don't think my device was warm and I've only seen this error today. I saw it again just now when flipping between video resolutions.
Lastest update from today 15/08, working great, thx!
Without charging and no hard apps running, thermal sensors app shows camera operating normally from 34C to 42C, with gcam mod, re enabled default cam app for tests, it's ok too, not using Gphotos app.

Which camera app are you using? And is the Oneplus camera app compatible with LineageOS 20?

Google cam modification app, aka gcam. I already used defaul OP cam in this version, but I prefer gcam and tried some Pro cam apps, with more adjustments.
- After a few hours today with my OP6 connected to a BT speaker, sound became incredibly stuttery
- I noticed from the same BT speaker that if I use the on-speaker volume buttons, it doesn't adjust volume on the OP6; I vaguely recall it doing this from OOS
- When running a vacuum, my OP6 in my pocket, and BT headphones, it would occasionally stutter. I don't know if this is different from OOS
Anyone have any issues with Bluetooth or know if there's anything I can try settings-wise?

Sometimes I have stuttering issues with my BT headphones. I noted, though, that those issues did only occur with my cheap no-brand ones, not with my higher class Sony ones. So I assume it is a headphone related issue.

Hey, did your battery health after you installed the new battery show 100% immediately or did it take some time to update? Mine is showing 77%.
I'm still going throuh the calibration process though...
