SAP S/4HANA Finance for Group Reporting is the strategic consolidation solution for SAP on the SAP S/4HANA platform.  

It is an integrated consolidation solution for consolidated financial statements and group reporting. It is fully integrated into SAP S/4HANA and combines consolidation, analysis and reporting capabilities in a single solution. A characteristic of SAP S/4HANA Finance for Group Reporting is that consolidation takes place directly in the operational SAP S/4HANA system and is not a separate closing process. Rather, it is the continuation of the individual financial statement process at group level and therefore part of the S/4HANA processes. Consolidation is therefore no longer at the end of the financial process. 

SAP is proud to provide two free, self-guided learning journeys for learners who want to get into Group Reporting in the Cloud or on-prem step by step, first focusing on the process steps of Group Reporting then on the concepts, followed by a hands-on training to deepen the overview and conceptional knowledge. 

Later this year we will add another learning journey which focuses on the consolidation configuration with Group Reporting and Group Reporting Data Collection. SAP S/4HANA Finance for group reporting Data Collection is part of SAP’s product strategy for Consolidation and is designed to complement the data collection process either via manual data collection or automatically via data mapping / Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) capabilities and makes collecting financial data, non-financial data and comments from subsidiaries inside and outside of SAP S/4HANA a lot easier.
