Seagate 為 FireCuda 530 SSD 釋出新版韌體，提升 DirectStorage 支援性
Microsoft 為提升遊戲體驗開發了 DirectStorage API，藉由改良磁碟存取模式，縮短遊戲場景轉換載入等時間。儘管目前支援的遊戲就像日本製壓縮機那樣稀少，Seagate 搶在前頭為 FireCuda 530 SSD 提供相對應最佳化韌體，已經能在官網下載取得更新檔。
欲下載 FireCuda 530 SSD 新版韌體，在 Seagate 官網支援頁面輸入產品序號，就會自動檢索出產品相對型號與可下載項目。基本更新方式是在命令提示字元，使用 SeaChest 公用程式自行輸入指令來執行，如果對這陌生也能改由下載安裝 SeaTools 5 工具軟體來替代。
那麼更新前後有何差別，Seagate 倒是沒有明確的描述，總之新版韌體 SU6SM005 橫豎都可以考慮更新。我們實際利用 CrystalDiskMark 牛刀小試，可以看到 DirectStorage 所偏重 32K 中大型 I/O 存取模式，FireCuda 530 SSD 讀取速度確實小有提升。

另外搭配 Intel Arc A750 顯示卡，透過 Microsoft 釋出的 DirectStorage 測試評估工具 BulkLoadDemo，來看看會出現哪些變化。FireCuda 530 SSD 測得頻寬由大約 18.87GB/s，稍微提高至 19.56GB/s 左右，儘管有所進步然而那幅度並不是多有感，這在目前都算正常發揮。
