Richard Sorosina is the chief technology security officer ANZ for Qualys, and has previously been the head of cybersecurity practice for Macquarie Telecom, the founder and principal consultant for Verus Data Security, as well as holding roles at McAfee, LogRythm, and other companies. He comes with a deep background in cybersecurity spanning more than two decades.

In our talk, Richard provides background on Qualys and its role in the market as well as future plans. We speak about cybersecurity and how the criminals haven't shown any sign of abating in all that time, but instead are using new technologies to strengthen their arsenal. Meanwhile, the world has changed and enterprises no longer have a secure network perimeter confined to a single geographical location with their workforce flung far and wide using the Internet and cloud technologies.

It becomes a challenge for security teams to keep pace with malicious actors, but here is where a platform like Qualys helps provide a single view of security and compliance across the organisation.
