Binance, one of the world's biggest crypto exchange, now has more than 150 million users according to its founder Changpeng Zhao.

This week so far Binance "hit 150M registered users," Changpeng said in a statement of developments at the exchange.

Many of them are in China according to WSJ, with Binance handling some $90 billion a month in the world's second biggest economy despite it ostensibly banning crypto exchanges.

On the other hand there are suggestions Binance thought of leaving the US market completely, while Semafor suggests the US Department of Justice has been thinking of charging Binance, but has shown restrain due to the cost to consumers.

There were 120 million users on Binance last year, with the exchange growing despite the bear, while Coinbase is at 106 million as of 2022.

Coinbase doubled their numbers from circa 50 million in 2021, with both exchanges so continuing to grow significantly.

As has the whole crypto space with ChainAnalysis estimating there were 200 million crypto users in 2021.

Now two years later, just one exchange has nearly as much as more and more adopt the new code finance.
