@thomashandorf We used the tool to pull Reports from Our old ga3 Account and it was definetely a big timesaver. The manual effort for this kind of Export is drastically reduced. That was the most important aspect for us.
Interesting tool for sure. It is indeed very helpful, with a very clean interface. Fast signup process too. It would be great to have this data transferred directly to CDPs, CRMs, or data platforms directly. But I know I'm probably asking too much.
@andres_rivera3 Thanks a lot for your feedback. We just added BigQuery support which should be a good way to forward it to other data platforms. The problem with CDPs and CRMs is that the data would be only useful if the data relates to individual users which is not the case for exported Google Analyitcs data. Or do you have a specific use-case your are thinking of where you would use GA data in CRMs?
@thomashandorf In our CRM - Hubspot, we have all the data. I'm thinking about the case when someone buys a CRM and wants to transfer this data to the CRM before they ene connect the data with used ID.
Isn't the data going to stick around for a year more? 😅
@sentry_co we wouldn't be so sure😅, especially as the retention policy will erase data every month. Plus, waiting longer wouldn't make the data better and if you want to use it in analyses (potentially even combined with new GA4 data) it makes a lot of sense to export it now and integrated with your existing data landscape. Our BigQuery feature will help a lot on the latter.
@thomashandorf How long will GA3 data be available? That means "you will still have access to view and export all previous data until July 1, 2024," as Krista Seiden explained. Yes, UA3 will still stop processing data on July 1, 2023, so all new data will only flow into GA4.Apr 28, 2023 source: https://www.seroundtable.com/goo...
@sentry_co yes, Google announced in May this year that data will be available until July 1, 2024. But as said, data is automatically deleted every month according to your data retention settings (Its a privacy feature)
Really nice, I think this is going to be very helfpul moving forward with the GA3 to GA4 transition. What a nice way to say good bye to GA3 data, and move on with GA4.
