Apple is reportedly working on iMac with 30-inch-plus screen

Aside from the inevitable iPhone refresh (and the headset everyone’s buzzing about), Apple reportedly has several other major new products lined up for launch in 2023 and the first half of 2024. This includes revamped iPad Pros with OLED displays, new Macs powered by a next-gen M3 processor and an upgrade to the Apple Watch Ultra.

Apple also is supposedly in the early stages of developing an iMac with a display that measures more than 30 inches.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 coming this fall

Since WWDC23 keynote earlier this month, Apple’s Vision Pro headset has been hogging the limelight. However, that device will not launch until early 2024 at the soonest. And before that, Apple has plenty of other products due for a refresh.

In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says Apple is gearing up to launch the second-gen Apple Watch Ultra (codename N210) alongside the iPhone 15 series this fall. Additionally, there’s the Apple Watch Series 9 lineup, with the codenames N207 and N208.

While not mentioned in the newsletter, Apple is unlikely to introduce significant changes with the 2023 refresh of the Apple Watch Ultra.

New iMacs and M3 MacBooks in development

Several other products in the Apple pipeline could launch by early 2024. A refreshed iPad Pro lineup with OLED displays could bring a new design. Code-named J717 and J720, the tablets should debut with the M3 chip next year. The company also is preparing a new iPad Air, codenamed J507, to replace the existing M1 model.

Gurman’s sources claim Apple is in the initial stages of developing an iMac with a 30 inches-plus display. This is alongside new 24-inch iMacs with updated internals. However, there is no clarity on whether the new iMacs would use an M2 or M3 chip. New M3-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pros are also in the works, but they are unlikely to launch this year.

Other products that are in early development include third-gen AirPods, an updated Apple TV with beefier internals, and new smart displays. However, these devices are not expected to arrive before 2025.
