Support is great. Feedback is even better.

"Thanks for checking out our new product! Thousands of founders, podcasters, executives, makers, and other folks have already started sharing what they're focused on - but we always want to hear from YOU, about how you use Gated or what features you'd like to see us build next..."

The makers of Gated
Sort by:

Hi everyone! 👋

You’re probably on PH because you care about innovation and tech. It’s worth spending your time on - to stay aware of the latest developments or get inspired!

But a lot of things AREN'T worth your time: Aggressive unwanted sales pitches. Irrelevant requests related to a past role. The nonstop messages and notifications that distract you from your priorities.

We built Gated as the first line-of-defense for you in the fight against digital noise, to: 📣 proactively tell people what you’re focused on right now 💬 be available for any conversation about the topics you actually care about ✅ serve as a simple, friendly digital boundary that allows anyone reaching out to you to self-select if their message is relevant… or not 💡remain accessible even when you “declare bankruptcy” and stop replying to messages because it’s overwhelming (We’re looking at you, LinkedIn, Twitter, Slack…)

Your Gated profile is built to be simple: - A link you can use anywhere - to tell the world what you’re working on right now. - A first-of-its-kind gateway to your attention (not another inbox, not a static link-in-bio page) - Tech designed to protect your attention, instead of steal it.

How are professionals, makers, and “do-ers” using Gated? 💗 To show they are more than just a job title or #hashtag (gated.com/@ak) 🎙️ To find guests for their podcast (gated.com/@mattpaige) 🎯 To tap their network for people who can help achieve their goals (gated.com/@zoe) 🔥 To showcase a side hustle (gated.com/@leslie) 😬 To show up on Twitter, without having to *actually* go on Twitter ever again...

But everyone’s different so we can’t wait to hear **how you use it** to get more of what you care about… and less of the rest.

Questions or suggestions? Our small team is excited to hear from you: Me —> Melissa Moody (CMO) Andy Mowat (CEO) Allen Hartwig (CTO)

We've had a few questions about this: 😆 Just a few days ago, we added a new feature - powered by A.I. Not just as “shiny object” syndrome, but specifically designed to make your experience faster, easier, and more fun!

What next product iteration would you have us deliver? You can actually add and vote on suggestions on our Featurebase board!

It is an honor to launch the new Gated here today We've been thinking deeply about how you don't control access to your own communication tools We started with email and are now pushing to think more broadly about other platforms

We believe the first step to better communication lies with being clear about what you are focused on Gated helps you articulate what is important you and be as available as possible for messages around this

We are excited to have you join our journey!

Love the fresh look! Quick question: What differentiates you from linktree?

@sentry_co Great question!

Here's how we break it down, but we'd love to know your thoughts as well: - While Linktree is for creators to share more content and get more followers/eyeballs... Gated is for professionals first, who value relationships and connections to reach their goals. - Linktree is a single link to monetize your audience. Your Gated profile helps you surface relevant conversations from the noise. - While Linktree allows you to share the content you've created and social links... Gated works by sharing the key things you're focused on right now (and makes it super easy to update/stay fresh, so people know what you're currently focused on - not just your broader content that they could find on Linktree or LinkedIn).

At the core, the vision for each product is different as well: Linktree is designed to help you create, curate, and sell your content. Gated is designed to help you stay focused on your priorities in a noisy digital world.

How they're used together: Some of our early users share their gate first, with Linktree as their bottom link to share more content. While others who are more creator-first professionals (example: gated.com/@brianna) may share their Linktree first, with Gated as a link to "connect with me on topics I care about".)

@brianna @melissa_moody Love it. So your USP is that you are a sort of aggregator anchor for SoMe. And your product opinion is that you want to make it more zen than what's currently out there?
