据《科创板日报》6 月 18 日报道，科技部原部长、中科院院士徐冠华在“中国生物经济 50 人论坛”上表示，近几年生物技术与产业发展迅猛，工程生物学的突破以及人工智能平台的交叉应用，极大地促进了产业发展，脑机连接的发展已经远远突破了原有认知的局限。这些进展拓展了人类认知自然世界的边界，激发了生物应用的创新潜力，撬动出巨大的经济社会价值。有研究机构预测，未来 20 年生物技术革命将产生 4 万亿美元的直接经济影响。
