How much rewarding to practice C2-ladder?

I was seriously ill for the last few months (Mention in my previous blog). For that reason, I wasn't able to practice problems on a continuous basis in codeforces. Now I'm feeling better and I want to continue my practice again. Previously I didn't follow any ladders and practiced randomly. That's why I solved a ton of easy problems. For solving too many easy problems I'm stuck in a certain range for a long time. I want to improve now. Is C2-ladder sufficient for improving from my level?
Also, my undergraduate will be completed by the end of this year. I want to touch expert at least once by the end of 2023. How should my practice strategy in the remaining time and which topic should I focus more on to achieve my goal?
