What we're about
This is a meetup for anyone interested in the Rust programming language: professionals, hobbyists, students, and anyone else. We meet to learn from each other, hack on personal projects, and hang out with like-minded Rustaceans. This is a community effort without anything like a corporate sponsor.
We currently meet twice per month at the Hacker Dojo in Mountain View, but we're on the lookout for alternative venues as well. Our events are cross-posted to their events page. Feel free to check out Hacker Dojo's many other events on various tech topics!
We share a Discord server with a similar grassroots Rust meetup in San Francisco. Join us to spread the love of memory safety and expressive type systems!

Meet and collaborate with other people using and learning the Rust programming language! Rustaceans of all interests and skill levels are welcome. Bring a laptop and something to hack on in person, whether it's a long-term OSS project or Rust learning exercises (github.com/rust-lang/rustlings).

WHAT IS RUST?
Rust (rust-lang.org) is a relatively new programming language that prioritizes performance and memory safety. Rust is widely applied, from fundamental projects like operating systems and databases to game development and web applications using Web Assembly. Rust has an enthusiastic user community and a strong focus on user education.
