消息称微软 Xbox 独占游戏《极限竞速 8》将于 10 月 10 日发售
IT之家 6 月 10 日消息，据 eXputer 爆料，《极限竞速》新作将于 10 月 10 日发售，这也与此前游戏定档 10 月的消息相符。新作将是系列第八部主线游戏，目前已确认将于 6 月 12 日的 Xbox 游戏展上公布更多消息。
这款游戏于 2020 年首次公布，支持Xbox Series X|S 和 PC 平台，首发登陆Xbox Game Pass。开发组之前曾表示，本作是完全从零开始为次世代 Xbox Series 主机打造的，将能带来崭新的游戏体验。
《极限竞速 Motorsport》是 Turn 10 制作的赛车竞速游戏系列正传之一。本作将广泛吸取玩家们的意见，力求给玩家带来更完美的赛车游戏体验。据悉，本作以 4K 分辨率及 60 fps 的帧率为标准开发，并将能够提供更为真实和生动的游戏世界，同时提供光线追踪支持。
IT之家查询发现，该系列 上一部作品《极限竞速 7》于 2017 年 10 月推出，是《极限竞速》系列的第十作，登陆Windows 10商城和 Xbox One。由于授权到期，该游戏已于 2021 年 9 月 15 日下架，已购买的玩家可以继续游玩。
