1. Arizona – Flagstaff
   Its nickname is “City of Seven Wonders.” This nickname was given because of the many natural wonders in the region, like the Grand Canyon National Park. The city is a tourist spot with several hotels and restaurants, including its historic hotels. The mild but warm summer temperature attracts tourists from many locales. However, storms and forest fires in its climate can be a negative aspect of the city. 
2. Arkansas – Lake Ouachita
   It is the largest lake in Arkansas, and it is near Hot Springs. The Ouachita National Forest surrounds the lake. The forest is near two other lakes, Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine. Every summer, the lake attracts many visitors who like to have fun in its waters. 
3. California – Santa Monica
   To the west, Santa Monica has a three-mile coastline fronting Santa Monica Bay, which has some of the most popular beaches worldwide. Some of these beaches are Malibu Lagoon State Beach (Surfrider), Will Rogers State Beach, Santa Monica State Beach, and Dockweiler State Beach. Some piers, like Malibu Pier, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Pier, Manhattan Beach Pier, Hermosa Beach Pier, and Redondo Beach Pier, are in the bay. Remember that this is also a fishing destination all year. 
4. Colorado – Telluride
   It is an all-year destination. It is also a winter ski attraction and a summer hotspot. Tourists can enjoy mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, sightseeing, and more. The summer in Telluride is hot. Summer is also great for hiking, fishing, and attending events in the area. 
5. Florida – Clearwater Beach
   Here you will find white sand beaches stretching for 4 km along the Gulf. Clearwater Beach includes a resort and a residential area on a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico in Pinellas County on the west-central coast of Florida. The area offers shopping and dining options and activities such as parasailing, jet ski rentals, boat tours, miniature golf, fishing charters, and “pirate ship” cruises. 
6. Georgia – Tybee Island
   It is a popular vacation spot. Here come visitors from outside the Savannah metropolitan area. It is worth mentioning that Tybee Island is one of the few locations where the U.S. Air Force dropped an atomic bomb by accident during a botched 1958 military training exercise. Tybee Island has a land area of 56.65 km2 and hot weather in summer. 
7. Hawai’i – O’ahu
   This is the third-largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Some of the most known beaches are Hanauma Bay, Kāneʻohe Bay, Ko Olina Beach Park, Kailua, Lanikai Beach, Papailoa Beach, Sandy Beach, Sunset Beach, Waikīkī Beach, Waimānalo Beach, and the Waimea Bay. Of course, don’t forget to visit all the cultural attractions in Honolulu, such as the Ala Moana, the Aloha Tower, the Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, the Banzai Pipeline, the Bishop Museum, the Diamond Head, and the Dole Plantation. 
8. Idaho – Sandpoint
   Sandpoint is on the shores of Idaho’s largest lake. This is a 43-mile-long Lake Pend Oreille and is surrounded by three major mountain ranges, the Selkirk, Cabinet, and Bitterroot ranges. Sandpoint has a fairly typical inland Northwestern climate with dry summers and days with hot temperatures in the day and cools at night. 
9. Iowa – Lake Okoboji
   Lake Okoboji is probably one of the best choices for the summer, with lakeside beaches for lots of fun and a retro-cool theme park in Arnolds Park. 
10. Kentucky – Kentucky Lake
    It is the largest artificial lake by surface area in the United States east of the Mississippi River, with 3,322 km of shoreline. It’s the perfect choice for those who want to live on a houseboat, go fishing and finally go have a drink at the marina.
