Do you have an S- or P- account?

PYTD can be calculated using restricted measure calculation on Date dimension. See an example below. I have data for full month of June but in bottom tables I have considered till only current date i.e. 3rd June 2023 . The top table shows below 3 measures

  • Signed Data - Total value of June 2023
  • GM-CYTD - YTD value of Gross Margin till 3rd June 2023
  • GM-PYTD - YTD value of Gross Margin on same date last year, i.e. 3rd June 2022

GM-CYTD - YTD Configuration - Restriction by Date. Current time interval> To Date> Year

You can see that CYTD and PYTD are showing correct results based on tables below showing the granular data and totals.

the suggest calculation is at story level. I am looking for model level calculations. I tried Restrict and lookup at model level , and when consumed in the story, I have forced to drill to day granularity.I am trying to maintain the formula in model and not at story level.
