Welcome! I started Macro because, as a researcher, I found it hard to read lots of PDFs on a computer screen and didn't like how they're not interactive or editable.

What if you could browse PDFs like webpages?

👆 Click on figures, sections, terms, etc. for a preview 🌐 Multiple tabs: within one PDF, like a web browser 🧠 AI Search: find sections, terms, and equations fast ✏️ PDF Editing tools: organize/merge, rotate, sign, text, comment, and many more

Macro makes reading documents on a computer screen amazing. We've always found it difficult to read and take notes on PDFs, and thought it was silly the "pro" pdf tools cost $30/month!

Macro is free for individuals and has a paid business plan with some additional tools.

@irturko Thank you! Yes, the free plan has everything you should need (including editing features). Going through hundreds of pages of docs is very painful!
One more thing since it's been asked in the comments: as a native app, Macro just has a one-time activation/download and no password to remember. Your documents stay local on your computer (not our servers) which is part of why the largest banks, law firms, asset managers, and more, in the US/UK/EU trust Macro with their secure documents.

Super excited to share our Macro PDF Editor on ProductHunt! We feel that in 2023, "Pro" PDF tools should be free. Our free version contains everything you need to effectively read, understand, and edit PDFs.

@sam_kececi_macro I like the idea of being able to use AI to highlight key points and important parts of the document. Much like what Macro does with being able to see references to terms and sections of a pdf
Documents need to be interactive to be readable. Congrats for recognising this while creating Macro PDF Editor. Makes it easy to deal with lots of documents. Makes it easy interacting with templates. Makes it easy while editing. What makes this tool different from others?
Just downloaded and tried it out - I love it! I can't tell you how many times I've google searched "free PDF editor" online and had to hack my way around things just so I didn't have to pay a high monthly/annual subscription for something I only use once or twice a month!
