1-Month and 3-Month Treasury Rates Jump
The yields on short-dated Treasury bills climbed Monday as traders awaited an update on a deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling. The 1-month Treasury yield was trading at 5.718%, which would be an all-time high, surpassing the recent high set on May 12, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The 3-month Treasury yield was trading at 5.293%, which puts it on pace for its highest settlement since January 2001.
