巴比特讯，5 月 21 日，美国总统候选人 Vivek Ramaswamy 宣布通过 BitPay 接受比特币作为竞选捐款，将参加即将到来的 2024 年选举，继 Robert F. Kennedy Jr.（小罗伯特·肯尼迪）之后成为第二位正式接受比特币竞选捐款的总统候选人。符合条件的美国公民和永久居民可以为该活动捐赠最多 6600 美元，不过这不能作为联邦所得税目的的慈善捐款扣除。捐赠者将获得一个 NFT。
