Support is great. Feedback is even better.
"Thanks for being part of our launch! I'm focused on answering these questions:
1. Utility: Do you think it's useful? Would you install the extension/use it directly? 2. Functionality: Would you like more functionality to make it more appealing? Like what?
Anything else you suggest? Thank you!"
Hello fellow Product Hunters 😀! I'm Reuben and I'm really excited to be sharing Creator Square with you all! I've been building Creator Square to organise the web's social media deals and make them more accessible and usable.
The idea came about 3 months ago after I paid for a VPN, only to come across a creator deal 5 minutes later while browsing Youtube. I thought to myself, there must be a honey-like extension that provides discounts from social media. To my surprise, there wasn't, so I got to work... and here we are with the MVP.
Currently ingesting deals from just Youtube, but there's much to be done, and most of it depends on your invaluable feedback... I would love your feedback and thoughts on this, and you can also submit feature requests once you login. Happy to be sharing this with you and hope you get a deal!
@jorge_aguilar_avendano That's exactly it, and it's done in an automated way. Currently, I'm ingesting ~1000 channels (updating brands & deals tomorrow with the new ones) every two weeks or so. 1000 is arbitrary and the channels were selected based on subscribers and views. However, after creating the Chrome extension, I'm adding:
1. A form where you can suggest channels to ingest automatically. 2. Creators can get verified and add links/deals on their own on their profile and they'll appear in the search.
Let me know if you'd like some feature to be there.
@arex18 that's a great idea. Let me start by suggesting my channel 😁 https://youtube.com/SaaSMaster
By the way, I think you can improve your landing page to make it more clear what this service can do.
@jorge_aguilar_avendano Added. You'll see any deals/brands related to your channel by next week.
Thanks for that! I'll improve the wording that answers your first question above directly.
I'll start posting updates on Twitter https://twitter.com/BeansHimself as I go along - right now I'm A/B testing and getting feedback but the service is already 100% functional.
@keyurahuja Not at all!
The process of listing the discounts, deals, sponsors, brands etc. is free and will always be.
Revenue is planned to be generated in a tiered way:
1. Affiliate marketing through gear that creators use, driven mostly by SEO. 2. Featured brands & partnerships 3. Creator-Brand tools subscription service/one time payments
I say 'tiered' because for (2) and (3) I'm adopting a build-in-public attitude, with tools and features built on demand if there is interest. (1) is already built, just not currently displayed.
@ritik_singh_panwar Tom creates a video showing how cool the latest transformers toy is and leaves a note where you can get that toy from, 20% off even! We see Tom's video and share the note for everyone to see. In fact, we don't just share Tom's notes, but Kate's, Bob's and "everyone" who shares a note having some sweet deal! 😌 When other people want a transformers toy, they can use Tom's deal for a discount.
It's Honey (the app) for creators.
