- On the device, select “Apply Update”, then “Apply from ADB” to begin sideload.
On LineageOS instructions, a custom recovery was temporarily flashed.
Also for Dynamic paritions section, I'd appreciate it if I could copy paste "adb reboot bootloader" instead of scrolling up or memorizing the command.
Also is there a way to go back after flashing the new boot? I remembered there may be some images that are not backedup?
Right now I'm getting
"This device has entered an unstable state. Please try rebooting your device using the exit button below. If the problem persists, boot to recovery mode by holding the volume down + power button while the device is switched off."
Would be nice if there was an instruction at the top of any vulnerable section on how to undo a flash and go to normal?
Phone is bricked btw.
Seems my device is bricked again because rebooting into recovery results in the boot loader showing up again.
I already shared the correct process here -

I wrote the process by using my previous expereince, logical build flow & also from the followig youtube video -
The process I shared is not decriptive, but if you have past expereince, you can do it.
Surprisingly I checked day before yesterday but didn't find an update. After your note last night, I could see the update & applied it. I do see some increase in Battery life. But its just been few hours, so have to observe for few days more to comment further.
My experience with custom ROM goes back to 2014, but the last I had done was around 2020 with my Mi 5 phone, which did not work as expected as VoLTE calling wasn't working. After restoring Phone to stock firmware, the gyro sensor stopped working.
But happy to see that the ROM's these days which are far better and it is not necessary to root the Phone.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the performance with this ROM increases by leaps & bounds and that I can use this phone for a couple of years more and have a proper ROI for my Phone which has good hardware
Looks like OnePlus is now taking the Apple route and making flagship phones more expensive and unaffortable.
I an now confirm that there has been an astronomical increase in Battery life. At night I use "Extreme Battery saver" & with that I am getting more than 1.5 days Battery life.
I continue to face following minor issues -
1. Operator supported video calling on Indian "Jio" network stops working when you try to initiate it.
2. Face random issues with Bluetooth pairing, when setting up pairing for a new device.
As I know of, YES it comes unrooted. E.g. Google Pay works fine for me.Is this an unrooted variant? I need to upgrade to Android 13, but I still need to be unrooted for certain bank apps to work

Thank you!
It's been about 10 years since I used to flash Android ROMs properly, and five years since I last did it unsucessfully and had to revert. Safe to say, I'm out of training.
Is there a detailed dummy guide for people like me? Since it's been so long I have lost track of tools, guides and pins etc.
I found this guide, but it looks like it roots the phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-flash-twrp-root-nandroid-efs-backup.3851789/

How to root this ROM? Any tutorial?
Thanks

Unhelpful. I did `fastboot flash boot PixelExperience_Plus_fajita-13.0-20230419-2046-OFFICIAL.img` and then
`fastboot reboot recovery` which resulted in bricking the phone yet again. Maybe you meant the twrp image. There goes 2 hours since I had to wait to install OOS 11.

Indeed, battery life with android 13 battery safer can be extended a lot. But I still have the feeling that in on OOS the battery life was better until you had to activate the battery safet

Good to know it's working, but please note that I am using Pixel Recovery and not TWRP recovery. When you download the files you get both the ROM and recovery files.

How to Install and Root PixelExperience ROM for OnePlus 6T
Installing the PixelExperience ROM took me...blog.elijahlopez.caFirst of all a huge thanks to the ROM developer for this ROM. After bricking my Oneplus 6T (due to incorrect command sequence shared in the Install Guide [unless I misread it] - as already pointed out by someone) and receiving the QualcommCrash Dump screen, I finally installed this last Saturday and till today only received one " QualcommCrash Dump screen" when the phone had abruptly hung up.
I thus thought of attaching the correct sequence of steps I followed after referring some websites & youtube videos (hope it helps others).
Why I post here are to report 2 issues -
1. I am based out of India & have dual SIM's. The Mobile Operator "Jio" provide pure 4G VoLTE services & voice calling works perfectly. However on initiating a video call (operator supported vide calling) or trying to accept a video call from another "Jio" user, the call drops immediately & it looks like it is unable to initiate the Front Cam.
2. If I install Gcam from Play Store or sideload any other GCam builds, the phone slows down & mostly the GCam needs to be forecefully closed to avoid making the phone slow.
3. Also find that the Camera access on the title bar always shows ON. Not sure whether this is a normal feature even without using my Camera.
Thanks in anticipation for any help on these cases and also for the ROM once again!
BTW - in case somebody is a vLogger or Photographer, this ROM is for you as it provides "Unlimited Google Photos & Videos" which stopped around Jun'21. Not sure if this continues for lifetime, but lets at least enjoy this for now
** I would also seek help (PM me) from an expereinced member from India who has complete knowledge on setting up Magisk or kernel_su to make all Banking Apps work (I setup Magisk once, try to hide root access, but ICICI Bank iMobile App still detects it) and also make the Work Profile for Outlook (Office 365ZZ) work **Yes the instructions provided that you mentioned are incorrect as you stated, the partition wiping bricks the phone.
There's certain GCam builds made for the device with varying levels of success. I have a build that's flawless other than the fact it can't take front cam selfies.
I suggest you simply don't root the ROM at all, it works perfectly fine stock and you won't benefit from rooting it. GPay works perfectly along with banking apps without root.Yes the instructions provided that you mentioned are incorrect as you stated, the partition wiping bricks the phone.

My main reason to switch to a custom ROM is to continue with updates & enjoy the newest flavour of Android. I forgot to mention that after installing Magisk, I had to uninstall it due to the issues reported. So I m pretty happy with a non rooted system.
But I also find the Battery life has reduced considerably after using this ROM - with OOS I had a Battery life of around 22 hrs or so with around 2 hours of screen time. Now I get only 18 hours with similar usage. I m gradually turning off all features related to Ambient Display & have also disabled face unlock.
I m new to this ROM but a techhy. So any suggestions from anybody to optimize Battery life will be appreciatedNew update came out yesterdayThanks for your response! I will look into the GCam thing.
