根据 Counterpoint 智能汽车服务的最新研究报告，2022 年全球联网汽车销量同比增长 12%，联网汽车在汽车总销量中的份额超过 50 %。美国仍然是联网汽车最强劲的市场，其次是中国和欧洲。到 2022 年，这三个市场占全球联网汽车总销量的近 80%。尽管在联网汽车销量中所占份额相对较小，但日本的联网汽车普及率增长最快。
在评论市场前景时，高级分析师Soumen Mandal表示：“汽车向数字化的转变正在快速推进，这在全球互联汽车普及率的持续上升中可见一斑。目前，4G 以近95% 的份额主导联网汽车市场。但随着汽车市场正在向电气化、软件定义汽车和自主化转型，对无缝和更快车内连接的需求将通过 5G 得到满足。到2030 年，超过 90% 的联网汽车将嵌入 5G 连接。2022 年至 2030 年间，联网汽车销量预计将以 13% 的复合年增长率增长。”
