5月4日消息， 今日京东官方宣布，“京东青年城”正式启动。
在与京东总部大楼隔路相望的地块上， 未来将建起近4000套家电、家具齐全，可拎包入住的员工公寓，包含幼儿园、电影院、篮球馆、游泳馆、商业街等休闲、娱乐、健身配套场所共同形成了总建筑面积30多万平米的建筑群。
这一项目的总投入预计将超过60亿元，加之去年投入百亿设立“住房保障基金”，京东在住房保障上的支出成为近年来京东在员工福利的最大投入，也是近年来行业最大的员工福利投入。
据悉，“京东青年城”将建成近4000套的自持员工租赁公寓，这其中，还特别为初入职场的实习生准备了千余套公寓，以缓解他们从学校到职场的住宿压力。
