Quick backstory: a little bit over a year ago, we launched the first version of Canvas. We were makers at a few high-growth startups, and one of the most common things we'd seen users do was "export to CSV" and pivot data in Excel. We thought there must be a better way, so we built a spreadsheet that connects to live data and translates everything you do into SQL.
