苹果今年晚些时候预计会推出 iPhone 15 和 iPhone 15 Pro 系列机型，其中 iPhone 15 Pro 会搭载台积电最新的 N3 工艺打造的 A17 芯片。该代工艺相比于 N5 制程，逻辑密度增加60%，功耗降低30%-35%。
然而，据分析师 Brett Simpson 透露，目前台积电 3nm 工艺的良率仅为55%，供不应求，而且生产成本也相应提高了。据爆料人 Revegnus 的说法，iPhone 15 Pro 的生产成本增加了20%左右，标准款 iPhone 15 的成本也将增加12%左右。这一消息引起网友的担忧，因为苹果很可能会提高 iPhone 15 系列的定价，至少搭载 A17 芯片的两款 Pro 机型会涨价。
