Hi ale5000. My device is OP8T running Jaguar rom (with signature spoofing support). I have magisk and rooted. I wanted microg so I installed the vanilla ROM because it has no gapps. I did not know of your installer so I used microg installer revived. Seems just fine except I get error zero when I update a play store game.
Should I switch to your installer? Will I be able to update with no error zero?

Put the zip in the microSD or in the internal memory of the phone.
Then (via adb shell or terminal):
Code:
cd /path_of_the_memory
unzip ./microg-unofficial-installer-v1.3.0-beta-by-ale5000-signed.zip zip-install.sh
sh ./zip-install.sh ./microg-unofficial-installer-v1.3.0-beta-by-ale5000-signed.zip

Your terminal script very good.

I had installed your micog-unofficial v1.3.0.1 over A13 Vanilla GSI ROM successfully , every things works except "play protect certify". Any advice's to do with it. Thanks you very much. Very happy.

Thanks.

Since you pass SafetyNet it should already show as certified but it is possible that Google Play Store have cached the failure.
Try to delete the app data of Google Play Store from Android settings.

Hi,
unfortunately I never got the error zero so I don't really know but if you want you can try.
Before trying be sure to backup you data and uninstall the other installers to avoid issues.

Yessir thank you, I shall. I'm not really interested in google sync and really safety net is not that important to me either. On my device I have TWRP recovery. So just uninstall my current installer, download your installer and flash via recovery? Oh and backup my data. By the way here is my error. According to search results, it has something to do with apps making API calls back to play store. Sad thing is, I do not have play store. I have Aurora. It worked just fine when I previously used the Nanodroid installer but nanodroid has not been updated for a long time

Yes.

It is possible that some apps are using Play Store even if they weren't installed via Play Store.

If this is the case it is possible that they will work with my installer but I can't grant it.

How uninstall this microG and back to previous configuration?

This build contains uninstall support: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-flashable-microg-unofficial-installer.3432360/post-88258629
Simply flash it again and it will ask if reinstall or uninstall, but it will simply remove microG (and other installed components); it won't re-add the previously deleted GApps.

After reinstall and uninstall latest version I don't have any history on Google Maps and Google Wallet won't turn on. I reinstalled this apps, but doesn't work.
I reinstall rom without wipe, but it didn't help.

I'm not sure of what you are asking, but without microG and Google Play Services apps are supposed to NOT work or partially work (especially Google apps).

New test build: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=10620683726822049735

It contains all the changes of the not yet released v1.3.1-beta listed here: https://github.com/micro5k/microg-u...ain/CHANGELOG.rst#131-beta---not-yet-released

It would be nice if many people would test it and report the results.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Thank you for this installer. This is the only one that works flawlessly for me (I'm using v1.3.0.1) but previous versions also worked flawlessly whereas I always had issues with the official installer.
Is there any way to get the gmail app working with this?
Right now, I've resorted to using K-9 mail but would nevertheless prefer to use the Gmail app if possible.

I'm glad it works fine for you.
About the "official installer" I'm not sure to what you means, mar-v-in is the only author of microG and I'm not aware of any installer made by him.

About Gmail you can try to install (as normal app) old versions of Gmail from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/uploads/?appcategory=gmail
It is possible that you get better results.

Also be sure to enable the 2 options as in the image.

Sorry about the confusion. I meant minmicrog and nanodroid, never worked as flawlessly for me as your installer.

Any idea which version of GMail exactly would work i.e., how far back I have to go?

You don't need gmail app to access Google mail account. K9 or fairemail should do well.
