Alpine A290_β（A290“测试版”）展示车预示着该品牌未来的电动掀背车，准备重塑运动性。“Dream Garage”中的第一辆车代表了 Alpine 的新时代，有目的地电动和运动。
A290_β 将于 2023 年 5 月 9 日星期二晚上 10 点 30 分（欧洲中部时间）在英国由Alpine首席执行官 Laurent Rossi 和 Alpine 设计总监 Antony Villain 揭幕。
A290_β 遵循 A 后接三位数字的 Alpine 品牌命名策略。第一个数字是指车辆的大小。“90”专指该品牌的多用途运动车，被称为“life-style”，而纯运动车的数字为“10”。“β”指的是软件世界中使用的 beta 测试，测试版本，就在最终版本之前。
