And you're not paying attention to the "you don't need to see photos to understand how upscaling on Gcam works".

I'm not promoting anything. The guy mentioned Topaz, I added my two cents regarding Topaz, and that's it.

Enjoy the AGC upscaler. lmao

But the discussion was about whether upscaling in AGC gives any gain in details, and then using Topaz to denoise it on top of that as an addition. Not about using Topaz to upscale. So of course, you can use Topaz Gigapixel but it is rather how to set AGC to give the best possible results.

I understand that. As I said, it was just an addition to the other person already mentioning Topaz. Not trying to switch the topic to Topaz at all.

who exactly are you talking to?
you quoted my post quoting GG ...is it me or him?
Your post makes no sense.
Which samples exactly are you referring to that you find oversharpened?
It would be nice if you could explain your posts rather than just posting what's in your head that noone else can understand.

I think he was referring to your previous configs on LMC and that he prefers them. You have been a lot more active than me lately with multiple comparison postings.

It should be clear that I am responsible for whatever deficiencies exist in the GG_AGC_v7 config. tmzbeme is providing useful feedback that I find helpful

At this point there are multiple camps and no one config can make everyone happy. For people who are not happy with what is on offer there is only one choice - DYI.

I haven't been following this thread for few days and I truly like to come back here and see how these great configs evolve, but - pardon my directness - I think you are overdoing right now.

Your previous samples I was looking at few pages ago were a lot better. These are very similar to the stock one. Better indeed, but worse than the ones you have presented few pages ago. I am allergic to oversharpening artifacts that whole S23 series do and kills all photos and these samples are unfortunately oversharpened for my taste. Green grass has too much whitenish tint coming from oversharpening artifacts.

I think you were talking about the AGC config from GroovyGeek that was changed a little bit from tmzbeme. It is right, the AGC is going more in direction to stock with a bit oversharpening etc. But for me it's not bad, the attempt of improvement looks very nice and everyone enjoys another taste, it is the advantage of gcam.
Generally here we see a lot of nice and good pics of Landscape, not many pics of People or portraits, where you would prefer a shorter exposure time and no HDR ++, and for this case it's no failure to compare different versions of gcam, because none of them seem to be perfect for every situation.

well i can't help people getting upset about trying to make improvements ....if they are not happy anyone is welcome to do it themselves.
regarding the GG pics, here are some test shots.
stock, GGv7, and GG with some light correction to make it look exactly as it looks in reality. I'm just posting what i see and i only adjusted the light, didn't play with sharpness or anything else. To me the GG shots are way too dark outdoors, the corrections also help for indoor shots too.
I'm happy to share the settings with groovy so he can make improvement as he sees fit or can leave as is if happy with it, just trying to help.

Thank you, very interesting. Inside the GGv7 is good, and you are right, outside and especial against light it is often too dark, so your improvement is very helpful. Would be interested in the config.

@GroovyGeek
It is the AGC 8.4.300.9.5fix Aweme, HDR+, 10x lens with 10xzoom and AWB is over and no further special settings. I stay on 8.7.250_v4.0_scan3d with your gg_agc_v7.agc I can confirm a crash with the 8.7.250_V4.0_SCAN3D, the 8.7.250_V4.0_SCAN3D does not go a top shot, the cam always falls. Thank you again for your work, if you have Estwas for testing, I would be happy to do that.
Thank you for confirming the crash on 8.7. I downloaded the ruler version today and it crashed the second I loaded my profile, so I was wondering what I am missing. I may take you up on your offer to test drive. Let me try to identify the cause of the aberrations you noted.

Don't have problem with anyone who wants to improve things and/or is willing to commit their time to help. I agree that AGC tends to produce somewhat dark images which is why I had jacked up the shadow compensation to +5 in v6, but brought it down to +2 in v7. Feel free to post your config here for others to use as they wish, or DM it to me and I will probably adopt most/all of your suggestions. I am completely new to GCAM and am still struggling to understand the bazillion of undocumented parameters.
