BRAD SMITH: Hello there. Do you want to know what's going to happen when "After the Call" goes live for the Microsoft and Google / Alphabet Alphabet Google, whatever you're calling them, when they report earnings? Hang on one sec. Hey Seana, do you want to tell them about "After the Call"?

SEANA SMITH: Oh, here I come.

BRAD SMITH: She'll fill you in on everything that's happening.

SEANA SMITH: All right, well, I'm going to be watching Microsoft. Because a lot of this buzz has all been about OpenAI. We know AI has really been the excitement word over the last several months. So we'll see whether or not some of that holds, and if it's going to be enough to offset the slowing that we've seen in Azure, the cloud business there for Microsoft. It could be a worrisome quarter if maybe that comes in below expectations.

BRAD SMITH: I'm also going to be watching Alphabet, Google whatever you're calling them at home. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has already been vocal about where we need to maybe pump the brakes a little bit on all of our generative AI ambitions, or at least the tech companies' and tech spaces' ambitions as of right now. But perhaps we'll hear a little bit more on the call. But this is still an advertising business at the end of the day. As much as you might be interfacing with Bard or Ernie bot one day, or whatever Chat GPT's name is going to be from Microsoft at the end, it's still going to come down to how they can monetize all of these things. And advertising has been the way, at least for Alphabet and their subsidiaries Google, YouTube, the list goes on. We've got a lot to break down for you after the call.
