@axcer_team Hello Niroshan, thanks for the awesome questions! I built My Vinyls because I was unhappy with the main Discogs app, and I wanted something that felt nicer to both look and use.
I see it as a bridge to the digital world because not only My Vinyls can scan barcodes with the rear camera to spot an exact release on the immense Discogs catalog, but it can also listen to the playing music by leveraging Shazam, and connect you to the most likely release on Discogs. This means that while you’re listening to some awesome music spinning on your record player, you’ll be able to discover more informations about it and its artists, or add it to your wantlist/collection. This is also great when music is playing from other sources and you might want to spot a physical release to scratch that collector’s need. :D
On top of this, My Vinyls brings batch edits to Discogs’ folders, which is way faster than going record by record (like on the website).
And also.. did I mention that AI is powering this feature as well? :) Unlocking the full version brings AI powered Record Notes, which generates a curiosities and description for a specific record through the massive knowledge stored on OpenAI.
