I was unable to search or browse apps with this in place. Will try to troubleshoot which domains it is.

@kptb

have you found any yet? I'm getting a similar issue. I think it's lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net, or at least that's the domain that my pihole is blocking when I try to access the app store.

Just doing some testing today. lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net being blocked is not causing the issue for me.

I had to whitelist lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net in Pi-hole because otherwise I couldn't access/download apps, the Smart Hub connectivity test was failing, and many other features was unreliably worked on the TV.

lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net DOES cause issues with connectivity on Samsung Tv’s. Even after whitelisting, issues persist for over an hour, sometimes being as bad as causing a complete inability to connect to your WiFi.

Blocking samsungcloudsolution also causes major issues with SmartThings connectivity, it can break some of your IoT connections to your tv, I don’t know which one causes it though

The same issue. When I run Pi-hole in my home network I tried to reset Samsung Smart TV to factory settings and set it up from the beginning. With default gravity database it is impossible, because I could not apply license agreement and log in into my samsung account.

For now I just checked top blocked domains and there is lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net. I think this is the required domain for correct work of apps center and other IoT functions. I try to add this domain to whitelist and see what happens ;)

@stef1949 I got a similar problem but adding time.samsungcloudsolution.net to the safe list fixed the problem for me (after about an hour or so for the TV to do it’s random hit).

Someone posted the suggestion on Reddit, can’t find the link right now though sadly, searched a bit before posting this too.

I hope this domain time.samsungcloudsolution.net is enough for Smart TV working, because after adding lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net to allow list, my TV installed a lot of useless Apps which I can't delete. And every time I have to enable developer mode and uninstall all apps with it. But after some time TV install it again anger

I was having issues installing an app today but whitelisting only lcprd1.samsungcloudsolution.net and cold booting the TV was enough, didn't have to wait one hour..

@JhonCorro I think the wait is only needed if you don't want to cold boot the TV because it seems the TV polls the time server on intervals, and if it fails to hit the server, it decides that it's not connected to the internet when you try to open "Apps" until it retries the time sync.

Perhaps it's a time skew issue as part of authentication... shrug

Adding this complete list to my pihole completely broke Samsung Apps and Samsung TV Plus channels on my RU7179. Do not use this list if you regularly watch those channels.

@SWlvl60 you can add *.samsungcloudsolution.net in allow list and everything will works.

@SWlvl60 try adding the item I mentioned above to the allow list - time.samsungcloudsolution.net - that’s what I needed to add to get the apps screen working on my RU7020. You might need to reboot the TV afterwards to force it to need to check the time server again, I left mine overnight and it worked in the morning.

@binakot by adding the wildcard on that domain to the allow list, you’re probably letting a lot of analytics through too.

@jonifen Yea, wildcard allows additional traffic, but adding only time subdomen is not working for me on my UE55NU7500.

Hi guys. Can someone tell me what I need to add to allow list so that I can see the weather in Ambiente mode? Of course, it would be nice if the universal guide remained blocked anyway.
