Mobile phones that sell between $725 and $1450 are not worth the price
Over the past few years, the price of mobile phones has been increasing. Interestingly, these phones still have their target market. The price of high-end mobile phones is really getting more expensive now. The price now easily ranges between $800 to $1000. In recent times, there have been a variety of flagship mobile phones with high prices. However, not everyone thinks these devices are worth their price. Li Nan, a former executive of Meizu, gave his views regarding these flagships.
Li Nan said on Weibo, “The Android camp with a price of 5-10k is not worth rushing. I am afraid that only folding screens make some sense. At least you can play something new. Otherwise, why bother?…”.
For Li Nan, mobile phones with price tags between $725 and $1450 are not worth it. However, he believes that foldable mobile phones could sell for higher.
This comment has been strongly debated over the past few hours. Android users are now asking why mobile phones should be that expensive. Most comments claim that mobile brands only increase prices without any innovation. However, there are those who claim that Apple is synonymous with high-end phones. They claim that “users all over the world choose Apple and not Android”. Of course, we need not ask, those comments are from Apple fanboys. They are the ones that will spend any amount on an iPhone. It’s more of prestige for them than actual features.

Mobile phone trends differently
The top four smartphones with the best sales in the Chinese market are all iPhones, namely the iPhone 14, 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 Pro, and OPPO Reno 9 is on the list for Android. The iPhone dominates the US market, which is Apple’s stronghold. Both the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 14 are unbelievably hot. South Korea and Japan both have fairly comparable situations. However, Chinese brands and Samsung completely dominate the Indian market, the second-largest mobile phone market in the world. In any case, with the rise in the price of mobile phones and other environmental impacts, everyone’s replacement cycle has been visibly lengthened by the naked eye.
What do you think about Li Nan’s statement? Do you think devices that sell between $725 and $1450 are not worth the price? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
