don't work on Chromium, Chrome Issue 591191: Speech Synthesis Pause/Resume Fails, or Firefox (not implemented "No, Firefox didn't implement pausing at all in its Linux backend." brailcom/speechd#813 (comment))- Still no specified way to input SSML (Speech Synthesis Markup Language) How is a complete SSML document expected to be parsed when set once at .text property of SpeechSynthesisUtterance instance?
- Still no specified way to capture audio output of
speechSynthesis.speak()
MediaStream, ArrayBuffer, Blob audio result from speak() for recording?
All of the above are fixable. The reason each item is not fixed is a lack of will to do so, not a technical limitation.
