据韩国科技信息通讯部， 韩国第一枚完全自主研发的运载火箭“世界号”，将于5月24日进行第三次发射，具体时间是下午6点24分(前后30分钟范围内)。
这将是“世界号”火箭首次试发实用卫星，也是韩国民企首次参与发射过程。
本次发射的卫星共有8颗，其中主角是新一代小型卫星二号，将被送入550千米高度的太阳同步轨道，另外还有韩国天文研究院的4颗纳米级卫星，Justek、Lumir、Kairospace三家民间企业的各一颗卫星。
“世界号”已于3月28日完成一级和二级间级间段的连接，正进行火箭性能测试、卫星最终环境测试。
