🚀 Introducing SocialBob – Witty news for busy people

📰 Tired of wasting time endlessly scrolling to find trending news? Look no further. SociaBob - The platform that provides witty news summaries for busy people.

🤖 Built by Praveen and Gautam, SocialBob uses AI to summarize daily news in just 1 bite-sized (tweet) format for easy sharing. Our aim is to help busy people avoid wasting time and to see the world with humor, rather than feeling an existential crisis every morning when they read the news.

🗞️ Our platform currently covers Science, Tech, AI, and Crypto news, and we are already sending invites to customize summaries to your region, and based on your interests. We want to revolutionize how you consume news and allow you to save time with easy sharing.

💡 SocialBob was inspired by the founder's own experience of following multiple news platforms and feeling overwhelmed by the endless scrolling and click bait articles. After several years of frustration, they created a prototype called "Humming Reader" to streamline their news consumption. When they realized that AI could be used to summarize news into bite-sized, witty pieces, SocialBob was born.

Interesting because time saver ! But I'm getting a question for you How can you be sure the information doesn't lose in quality and the full information is transmitted to the reader ? Because summarizing can be the best way to transmit informations with bias

@devezehugo

Thank you for bringing up a valid concern. As the product owner, I'm thrilled to see the positive response to our news summarization tool. While we acknowledge that summarizing can sometimes lead to loss of information and bias, we are constantly working to improve our product to make it more accurate and inclusive. We are committed to providing a platform that saves users time and provides them with the most relevant and impactful news.

We also understand the importance of addressing concerns around bias and loss of information. Rest assured that our product is designed to provide users with factual and reliable news, and we take this responsibility very seriously. We are constantly exploring new ways to improve our service, including the possibility of creating a thread-like format that covers a wider range of news to avoid the loss of information to cover almost all the relevant news in one thread and use a combination of manual effort and AI predictions to solve the bias.

At the end of the day, our goal is to make it easier for people to stay informed and start their day on a positive note.

@praveenkumar thank for your very complete answer ! A pleasure to see how you’re concerned about your community questions and you take care of it
@devezehugo We are always open to feedback and suggestions, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further thoughts or questions.
