早些时候，Steam宣布将在2024年终止对Windows 7/8/8.1的支持。
今天，
Steam正式宣布，将从2023年9月1日期，正式停止对macOS 10.11/10.12版本的支持。
和此前停止对Windows老版本的支持一样，停止对macOS老版本的支持，同样是因为Steam客户端的主要功能依赖于嵌入式Google Chrome，但其不在支持旧版本的macOS。
此外， Steam的未来版本将需要在macOS 10.13及更高版本中获得新功能和安全更新。
