Twitter推荐算法公开源代码 – 开源派
如马斯克之前承诺，Twitter 目前已将其部分源代码正式开源，目前公开的源代码包括Twitter的推荐算法。源代码托管在 GitHub 上，遵守 AGPL v3.0 开源许可协议。推荐算法主要目的是筛选出流行推文，利用机器学习模型进行排名，过滤掉已屏蔽用户的推文、已经看过的推文或者在工作时间不宜观看的内容，最后将结果显示在用户的时间线上。
网友们对Twitter 的算法进行深入挖掘，发现 Twitter CEO 马斯克（Elon Musk）得到了特别对待。相关算法代码特别提到了 author_is_elon、author_is_power_user、author_is_democrat、author_is_republican…代码注解声称这些用户 ID 只是用于数据收集的目的。但马斯克的推文曾一度展示给几乎所有 Twitter 用户。
