I had the M1 MacBook Air - it is actually pretty surprising how much the bigger and brighter screen, better camera, and the bigger keys on the keyboard (particularly the function keys) just make this thing seem awesome. It has run buttery smooth since I bought it. Happiest I have been with an Apple laptop in several years.
I have been happy with my M2 Air as well.

I currently own a 13" MacBook Pro 2018 with Touch Bar, I'm trying to hold out for the rumoured 15" MacBook Air. Apple silicone seems to be a lot better than the intel chips and I think even day to day usage I will notice the difference.

Holding on to my early 2015 and watching to upgrade…

It's been the best laptop I've ever used. And I came from a 14" MacBook Pro.

I love my M2 MBA also. I ordered it on release day. Midnight 24GB/10 core/1TB. I traded a 2019 MBP Intel. What a difference!

2012 - Bought my 13" Air and I LOVED it until the battery gave out in 2018.
2018 - Bought the Touch Bar MBP, but was fairly disappointed.
2020 - Bought 13" M1 MBP and liked it.
2021 - Bought the 16" MBP M1 Max and love the performance!

I still miss the portability and lightness of the Air. You can take it anywhere and the battery life is phenomenal!

I will definitely be purchasing the next release of the MacBook Air to surf the web and light photo editing in bed or on the sofa. I love the midnight color, it reminds me of the BlackBook we had back in college (2006).
