NVIDIA显卡突然解锁视频编码限制：9年前老卡欢呼雀跃

近日，NVIDIA悄然揭开了大量GeForce系列游戏显卡上的视频编码限制，而且9年前Maxwell架构以来的显卡几乎都有惠及，十分惊喜。

在以往，NVIDIA GeForce显卡最多仅支持通过NVENC编码器对3条视频流同时进行编码，远不及数据中心、工作站产品的11-17条并发，虽然也有破解但比较麻烦。

意外的是，NVIDIA已经放宽了上述限制， 从第一代Maxwell架构的GTX 745/750/750 Ti显卡开始，后续所有的消费级产品(MX系列和GT 1030这样的除外)，包括桌面、笔记本，一律开放支持5条视频流编码并发。

与此同时， 数据中心和工作站产品，也就是Quadro、Tesla系列，对编码视频流的并发数量不做任何限制 ，除了一些低端产品仅支持3条。
