移民局：工签被裁后可转商务或旅游签面试新雇主

近几个月来，裁员浪潮席卷科技业，很多持有工作签证（H-1B）的打工者也未能幸免。移民局近日在其官方社交媒体上澄清，如果是被裁员后转为商务/旅游签证（B1/B2），是可以面试新雇主的。
此前，移民局在其官网上介绍称，工作签证持有者丢掉工作后，并非只有“60天内离境”这一种选择。他们可以通过及时调整身份等方式，继续留在美国。

但移民局也指出，在新工作确认后，申请者仍然需将身份转回工作签证或其他允许工作的签证类别，且必须在新签证生效后才能入职。但如果转身份的申请被拒，或者新的身份需要到美国使领馆办理，那么他们仍然必须先离开美国，再持新的签证入境。
