据金十援引知情人士报道，微软公司威胁称，若搜索引擎竞争对手继续将微软的互联网搜索数据作为自家 AI 聊天产品的基础，微软将阻止这些公司获取相关数据。强调隐私的搜索引擎 DuckDuckGo 已推出 DuckAssist，该功能使用 AI 总结搜索查询的答案。2021 年亮相的两个较新搜索引擎 You.com 和 Neeva 也首次推出 AI 驱动的搜索服务，即 YouChat 和 NeevaAI。DuckDuckGo、You.com 和 Neeva 的常规搜索引擎均使用 Bing 提供部分信息，因在整个网络层面建立索引数据库的成本极高。
