Hello awesom xda-users,

I am currently running LE2121_11_C.61 (Oxygen 12) on my OP9 Pro with ROOT/magisk and would like to "upgrade" to OS 13.
1) Which options do I have for that case?
2) Is there an option to keep ROOT?
3) If 2) is not possible, how can I keep/transfer all data and use import it for /to Oxygen 13?

Thanks

Without root keeping "all data" is not possible. Your only option is to backup your internal storage to PC excluding the android folder then copy it back after the upgrade. Without root after upgrading you can't use apps like SwiftBackup to restore. However, I would install and use SwiftBackup while you are rooted to backup current apps and data, call logs and sms messages. In addition export your contacts to internal storage before backing up to PC. Actually backing up to PC would be the last thing you do before updating firmware. In the event you do get root, you will be able to restore everything.

For those with the T Mobile variant, you can obtain the boot.img from your phone to patch it yourself using the MSM tool. This guide assumes you've installed the drivers correctly
1) Determine your current slot (either A or B). There are several ways to do this, but the easiest is to reboot your phone into Fastboot and use the command "fastboot getvar all" then look for "current-slot".
2) Launch the MSM tool. In the "User type" dropdown menu, select "Others" then click "Next".
3) When the tool opens up, press F8 on your keyboard. Check the box for "boot_a" if your active slot is A, or "boot_b" if your active slot is B. In the password field, enter "oneplus" without the quotes, then click "OK".
4) Next to "Start" and "Enum" you should now see a new button, "Read Back". Click that
5) Put your phone into EDL mode and connect it to your PC. When the MSM tool sees your phone, it will extract the boot.img you need, and place it in the root of your C:\ drive.

F75 is rolling out now for European devices.
As always L1 is maintained as Playstore certification
